CED48201

(illustrated at top of Preview page) Ar 234Bs #1: B-2 W.Nr.140173, Josef Regler, Staffelkapitan 9./KG 76, the first Ar 234 to be obtained by the Allies; B-2, Hans-Georg Bätcher, commander III./KG 76; B-2, Friedrich Bruchlos 8./KG 76, attack on Remagen bridge; B-2 W.Nr.140311, USA 40, Formerly II./KG 76, surrendered to RAF at Stavanger, Norway, May 1945, handed over to Watson's Whizzers, designated 404. Later became FE-1011 in USA; B-2 W.Nr.140356, Air Ministry #226, Formerly II./KG 76, surrendered to RAF at Stavanger on May 10, 1945 and subsequently flown by Lt Cdr E.M. Brown $8.99

CED48202

Ar 234Bs #2: B-2 W.Nr.140466, Air Ministry #24, formerly 8H+HH of AufklGr 33, ferried by S/L J.C.S. Turner on Aug. 27, 1945, written off in landing accident at Farnborough during delivery flight due to undercarriage collapse; B-2 W.Nr.140312, surrendered at Stavanger, Norway, completed over twenty hours of flight testing at Wright Field, aircraft restored by NASM and painted in the (spurious) markings of a KG 76 Ar 234, F1+GS. Note that we have included an alternative 'F1' that is slightly smaller than the one found on the NSAM restoration. The NASM 'F1' appears to be slightly oversized when compared to the standard prescribed 20% of the aircraft/staffel code size for this marking. Walter 109-500 rocket-assisted take-off units attached; Ar 234 S2 W.Nr.140102, Rechlin Experimental Station; B-2 #202 "Jane I" W.Nr.140489 or 140343, BuAer No. 121445. Flown to Patuxent
River and scrapped $8.99
