Heritage Aviation has released a simple replacement for
the jet intakes on Airfix's 1/48 scale Buccaneer kit.
Four parts are supplied in butterscotch coloured resin.
These are attached to large castng blocks, so care will be required when
removing the parts.
The shape of the new intakes look good. They also include
subtle vent detail. Being one piece each, they are totally seamless. The
inclusion of detailed engine fan faces is a nice touch.
General consensus is that the Airfix Buccaneer kit is a
bear to assemble, but the results are often impressive. Heritage
Aviation's replacement intakes will address a prominent aspect of this
difficult kit.
