Ultracast's
latest set of replacement exhausts are for Tamiya's excellent 1/48 scale Dornier
Do 335 kits, Two sets of exhausts are supplied in the bag; one set for each
engine.
The exhausts will be suitable for either the single seat Do
335A-0/1 "Arrow", the two-seater Do 335A-12 "Anteater", or even for a "B"
conversion. It is important to note that each set of exhausts is different. The
pair for the rear engine feature a shrouded stack,
while the six stacks for each side of the front engine are unshrouded.
These
flattened exhausts are always more challenging for the modeler to drill out than
rounded pipes, so this style of hollow exhaust is especially welcome.
Each exhaust is attached to its
individual casting block via a thin strip of resin. This will be very simple to
remove with a few swipes of a scriber or a hobby knife.
Recommended for anyone building either of the Tamiya
1/48 scale Do 335s.
