AMT released an impressive range of aircraft during the 1990s, including their P-40s, A-20s and F7Fs. Teknics' latest cast-brass landing gear is appropriate for any of the AMT/ERTL F7F-2 or -3 kits.

This set is Teknics most ambitious venture into the world of landing gear. This is no simple straight gear leg. On the real aircraft, each undercarriage leg is a complex assembly of struts and supports. Teknics has simplified this structure for the purposes of assembly with no compromise to detail or accuracy.

Five parts in beautifully cast, jewellery quality brass make up this set. All the parts for the landing gear are supplied, including the stalky nose gear leg. Detail including hydraulic lines are cast integrally onto the legs. There is no flash present, but extreme care will be required to remove only the waste brass from the gear legs. Minimal assembly is required thanks to the small number of parts.

At $24.99 the set is expensive, but Teknics F7F landing gear will add structural strength and finesse of detail to the AMT kits. Now you will have to replace those plastic-eating rubber tyres supplied in the kit!

Highly Recommended to experienced modellers.
