Classic Airframes has diversified into the decal business. Their first choice of subjects is logical - five sets of decals for their new series of 1/48 scale Lockheed Hudsons.

Each set contains two or three decal options on a 5" x 8" sheet, and a folded, letter sized decal placement and painting guide.

The decals are printed by Microscale. Registration is perfect on all my samples, and the carrier film looks very thin. The colours look good too. Classic Airframes has done its homework here - there are a few tricky roundel and code colours, especially for some of the Aussie and the New Zealand subjects.

The subjects covered are as follows:

  • 48-001 Hudson Mk. III 269 Sqn Coastal Command and A-29 Chinese Air Force
  • 48-002 USAAF A-28A; Hudson IIIA Coastal Command and Mk.I South African Air Force
  • 48-003 Hudson Mk. III RAAF (Air Ambulance) and Mk. VI RAF
  • 48-004 RAAF Mk.III and two RAAF Mk. IVs with some nice nose art.
  • 48-005 RNZAF Mk. III and RCAF Mk. I

Now there will be no need for your CA Hudson to look the same as the next one on the competition table!

Highly Recommended.
