FirstLook

Red Roo Models has released three new decal sheets under the general heading of "Odds and Sods".

The first two provide a single full set of stencils for RAAF Spitfire Vc in 1/72 and 1/48 scale. Options are supplied for early and late stencils in a number of cases. A double sided A4 sheet clearly points out the location of all these markings using four-view line drawings.

The third release includes 54 Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation "Speedbird" logos in 1/72 scale. These logos were seen on the fin or fuselage of many of the aircraft manufactured by CAC. However, I confess that I don't know if anyone would ever use 54 of these little logos! It might have been a more effective use of the space to include 1/48 scale logos as well.

The carrier film of these decals is not separated into individual items, so they will have to be carefully cut out. Red Roo Decals are thin and do require some care (and a wet plastic surface) in application, but the results are always impressive.

Recommended.

Thanks to Red Roo Models for the review sample.
